  • Lisa Tomalin

    Lisa Tomalin

    Lisa has a wealth of experience in the health and fitness sector, and has a degree in Health & Leisure Studies from Stranmillis University College.

    Lisa has successfully run her own business for 13 years, offering personal training, sports massage therapy and class instruction.

    She has worked with various age groups and taught within schools both Primary and post primary specialising in Pilates and Zumba dance fitness.

    Lisa is a Mum to two boys aged 6 & 3

  • Joni Rock

    Until recently Joni has worked in leadership roles with national charities, including the NSPCC, specialising in fundraising and volunteering strategy and delivering transformative projects.

    Joni is a Level 2 Fitness Instructor and a talented sportswoman having represented Ireland at sailing, Ulster at Rugby, and Northern Ireland at Netball. She was also a participant in the BBC Show 'Last Woman Standing; .

    Joni studied Sports Management & Marketing at Northumbria University and is also a Mum to a 6 & 8 year old

  • Michael Keenan

    CHAIR

    Michael is a sports keeno (excuse the pun). He played every sport he could growing up and played senior rugby for Bangor RFC for over 10 years. 

    He also represented Ulster Juniors and was captain of a Saracens Elite Squad while at University. Now his playing days are over Michael coaches the Bangor P5 mini rugby team and helps out coaching the U11 and U9 Cricket teams at Bangor Cricket club. Away from the side lines Michael has 25 years experience working in advertising agencies in London and Belfast. He is currently Executive Creative Director of Krow Ireland and is Chair of PANI, Northern Ireland’s media and advertising body. He’s also a secret Country music fan… ssshh don’t tell him we told you.

  • Simon Boyle

    TREASURER

    Simon has been an active participant in many different sports since his school days playing football, rugby and tennis before finding greatest success in athletics. Simon represented Northern Ireland in the High Jump and the Decathlon, he was Irish Senior High Jump champion on two occasions and still remains third on the Northern Ireland all-time list with a best height of 2.12 meters. Simon continues to actively participate in sports running, cycling and swimming and has completed a number of marathons.

    Simon studied Engineering at The Queen's University Belfast and The Brunel University of West London. He is now retired after completing a successful career in industry ultimately leading a range of manufacturing locations across the UK and Europe. He is married with three grown up children.

  • Ann Darragh

    SECRETARY

    Ann is retired now but has spent many years working in various roles in HR including administration roles working as Senior Admin to HR Director which included facilitating Board and Sub-Committee meetings.

    Ann is a tennis fanatic and when she’s not watching tennis she is playing.  Ann has been selected for Ulster Interprovincial Teams for many years now and has played in tournaments all over Ireland. 

    Ann enjoys going to gym classes such as pilates and body pump and when not keeping busy and active through that, her biggest workout is running around after her grandchildren!

  • Matthew McGovern

    MEMBER

    Matthew has been to two Olympic Games, representing Ireland in the 49er class and has multiple Sailing World Cup medals under his belt. Once Matthew finished competing professionally, he took up a role as the NGB High Performance Manager and now continues to have an impressive career as an Olympic Sailing Coach, and Programme Lead. He is also President of the 49er Olympic sailing class.

    Matthew has always been involved in sport and studied Sports Science and Management at University. He brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the Board.

    Matthew is dad to two young, active children and spends a lot of his time with his family on the beach, on bikes or going on adventures in their caravan!

  • Freddie Harris

    MEMBER

    Freddie started off in the environmental and sustainability sector, spending a decade helping non-governmental organisations to build their volunteering programmes and develop community-led initiatives on the ground.

    He left that behind to build his own business - this time in fitness and nutrition, where he ran his own Strength and Conditioning Coaching Gym for almost five years. After stepping back to look after his young kids on a full-time basis, he is now most definitely ready for the next challenge!

    He is a huge believer in active travel and is campaigning relentlessly for safer traffic environments around his son's school.

  • Tina Harrison

    MEMBER

    Tina is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), and has over 15 years’ experience of working in HR, within both public and private sector organisations. She has a broad range of experience including Recruitment and Selection, Employee Relations and Learning and Development.

    Tina is mum to two children aged 10 and 6, who keep her busy with all their social activities. When Tina is not running about after her two children she enjoys swimming, golf and going to gym classes such as body pump, HIIT and spin.
